May Pole and Ball de Bastons dances.

Wednesday 30th

The second day begins…

First of  all  we do a cooking session at school  to prepare a special menu for the England Queen:  cheese and asparagus tart, special cottage pie and shortbread biscuits . After that we go to visit the Chiddingstone Castle. It has been a really nice visit. The gardens are incredible.
We come back to school and we have a wonderful lunch in the playground all the school together. We are celebrating the Queen Jubilee.
Later we celebrate May Pole dancing and we dance “ ball de bastons “. They enjoy a lot with us.
Now we come back with our families and at six o’clock we’ll go to Jo’s house for a swim and a barbecue. We’ll continue tomorrow. We'll let you know when we come back from London!

Then Enric, Ferran and Pol ask Andreu for his next holiday, tours of Catalonia and what  school is he going to go next year.

Some more pictures from today activities

Tuesday 29th

The plane landed at 9.00 o´clock. We went to school with a red Chiddingstone minibus.

When we arrived we played some games in the playground. After that we visited the Church and the different classrooms in the school. Later, we had lunch ( sausages and rice with vegetables ). And after the lunch some children took part in the bullfighting debate while the others helped to prepare the Spanish coffee.

This afternoon, the school celebrates the Spanish day with some songs, drama, plays, poems…

Finally, we see some races in the cross country races in a tournament among different schools where we give support to Chiddingstone school.

We now leave with our families.

Good night ! That’s great !

Almost ready!

Our group of 6th Year students are almost ready to start the visit to Chiddingstone School. We all hope it will be a great opportunity to get to know a different culture and way of life and, of course, to improve their grasp of the English language! Give our best regards to our friends from Kent and have a great time!
